Stan Honey on Marine Grounding Systems

Steve thinks Stan Honey's article on marine grounding systems is the definitive work as of June, 2001. Stan has tackled the thorny issues that other writers get faint-hearted about: how to resolve the apparently conflicting requirements for DC and AC grounds, HF counterpoise, lightning down-conductors and ground, and how to avoid electrolysis and galvanic corrosion.

This article was originally published in the October 15, 1996 issue of Practical Sailor. Jim Corenman has republished Stan's article which used to be hosted in Chuck Hawley's West Advisor section of the West Marine website. This is the URL link given at left.

Solving RF Interference

This is a technical note on dealing with RF interference, part of Jim Corenman's Airmail 2000 site. It is so good, we just wanted to make sure you don't miss it when visiting the site. Read this even if you're not interested in radio e-mail.
